Tesla’s Cybercab, a front-wheel-drive autonomous EV for ride-hailing, secured a 2026 EPA Certificate of Conformity with a curb weight of 3,113 lbs, a ~48 kWh battery, and an EPA-rated range of 418 miles combined (375 highway). Production has begun at Giga Texas, targeting a sub-$30,000 price point and ultra-low operating costs of $0.20–$0.40 per mile. The vehicle’s high efficiency (165 Wh/mi) stems from structural battery integration and a minimalist, steer-by-wire design.
