Skyroot Aerospace reaches orbit on first Vikram-1 launch

Skyroot Aerospace's Vikram-1 rocket successfully reached orbit on its inaugural flight July 18, becoming the first commercial Indian rocket to achieve this milestone. The rocket, carrying two cubesats and hosted payloads, deployed its upper stage into a planned 450-kilometer low Earth orbit 15 minutes after liftoff from India's Satish Dhawan Space Centre.
