Supreme Court To Decide If Plane Can Be Seized Over 6-Pack Of Beer

The US Supreme Court will hear the appeal of Alaska pilot Ken Jouppi, whose $95,000 plane was seized after he unknowingly carried a six-pack of beer into a dry village. Jouppi argues the seizure violates the Eighth Amendment's prohibition against excessive fines. The court's decision is expected by June or July 2027.
