Tesla readies its autonomous Cybercab and Robotaxi cleaning service

A Texas permit filing reveals Tesla plans to deploy an autonomous cleaning robot at its 5900 E Ben White Blvd Robotaxi hub in Austin, capable of sanitizing Cybercabs between rides in under two minutes. The robot, unveiled in January 2025, aims to eliminate downtime for manual cleaning, supporting Tesla’s autonomous fleet operations across Austin and Dallas. Separately, SpaceX targets a July 16 Starship test flight from South Texas, featuring upgraded Raptor 3 engines and the first deployment of 20 Starlink V3 satellites.
