Netflix paid $587M for Ben Affleck’s AI filmmaking startup

Netflix acquired InterPositive, a startup co-founded by Ben Affleck, for $587 million in cash. The AI tools developed by InterPositive help filmmakers improve footage in post-production by addressing issues such as missing shots or incorrect lighting. The entire InterPositive team joined Netflix, with Affleck serving as a senior advisor, and the company has already used the technology in around 300 of its titles.
