Data Centers Were Responsible For 46% Of PJM's Last Four Capacity Auction Costs
Joseph Bowring of Monitoring Analytics says data centers accounted for $6.3 billion or 38% of PJM's recent capacity auction costs and 46% of the $63.6 billion total over the last four auctions. PJM's capacity auctions have become a major issue in 13 Mid-Atlantic and Midwestern states. Monitoring Analytics plans to publish its analysis soon.
