German Motorists Flood Czech Border As Fuel-Price-Cap Ends
German motorists flooded Czech gas stations as the government's fuel-price cap expired, with prices as much as €0.80 per liter cheaper than in Germany. Fuel prices began rising on Monday, with diesel increasing by up to 2.40 crowns per liter. Finance Minister Alena Schillerová said the government will continue monitoring the market.
