Radiologist who drove Tesla off cliff has attempted murder charges dismissed

A California radiologist, Dharmesh Patel, had attempted-murder charges dismissed after completing a mental-health diversion program stemming from a January 2023 Tesla Model Y crash off Devil’s Slide that injured his wife and two young children. Patel, who reportedly has schizoaffective disorder, was placed on house arrest and later had the charges wiped from his record under state law. Separately, Tesla confirmed its Miami Robotaxi service launched on June 3 operates without human supervision, using only Full Self-Driving technology.
