NVIDIA AI Releases Nemotron 3 Embed: An Open Embedding Collection Whose 8B Checkpoint Ranks #1 on RTEB

NVIDIA released Nemotron 3 Embed, an open collection of three embedding models, including an 8B-parameter checkpoint that ranks first on the RTEB benchmark. The models, built on Mistral architectures, support up to 32,768 tokens and are licensed under OpenMDW-1.1. The 1B variants were compressed from a 3B parent via pruning and distillation, while the NVFP4-quantized version offers up to 2x throughput with minimal accuracy loss.
